We want to buy an automatic cleaning kitty litter box for our new pomeranian puppy. Will the clumping litter that this type of box requires be okay?

(By the way, we just bought her home from the breeder’s last night. She’s 9 weeks old. She’s using puppy papers good, and seems SMART and really eager to please).

i’ve been looking for a littermaid but i’m not sure which model to buy. i’ve come across a whole bunch of bad reviews for the elites saying they break down too easily and these bad reviews say they loved their older models. i was looking into the LM500 but i also have a pretty big cat. will the LM500 be sufficient? what kind of litter do i use for the older models? i know the elites require clumping litter.
anybody know which model was littermaid’s first self cleaning litter box?

I have 2 cats and I want to buy a self cleaning litter. I have been looking all on ebay and see there are a few different choices. I want to make sure I get my moneys worth. Any suggestion? Please include your experience with the item and rate it. does it really work? Thanks!

Dog eats cat poo out of litter box. Box cannot be high up as cat has diabetes and problems wit hind legs. Enclosed boxes are too small for large cat with health problems as well.
P.S Dog is smaller than cat.

I just moved, and just bought an automatic litter box, and I just brought my cats to the new place, my cats were meowing like crazy and acting like their afraid of the automatic litter box. I’m concerned that they may not use the litter box and go to the bathroom on my carpet. What can I do? I’m not going back to the regular litter box. NO WAY! By the way it’s a littermaid.

So we have had this thing for 6 months and they will use it but never fail to come back and stalk the box once they hear it start up.
